10 Questions – Who is Remo Ojaste?
July 19, 2022What are the real wins from “How to Human” training?
November 5, 2022What are the real gains of the hands-on leadership training FTX?
The hands-on leadership training FTX may at first glance seem a bit scary, rather like a military theme, and definitely only for men. On the contrary – fear is replaced by excitement, there is a lot to be learned from the battlefield for anyone regardless of their position, and it is also highly recommended for women!
The main question that arises in regards to FTX is: “How does running with a rifle in the woods contribute to my leadership skills at the office desk or in my private life?” It’s all very well to play war games all day long, but the training is still expected to deliver real gains.
What are those gains and how do I apply them?
The Field Training Exercise is designed to put you in different roles and situations in a fast-changing environment throughout the day. These situations require quick decision-making and there is little time for lengthy deliberation.
This is why this training will bring out your BEHAVIOUR PATTERNS in the best way.
It is these subconscious behaviours, mostly from childhood, that tend to be the most inhibiting to our growth. Because of this subconscious behaviour, we fail to see ourselves from the sidelines, much less to become aware of the areas that need improvement. At FTX, in different roles and in different situations, it is possible to learn a great deal about our behaviour as a leader/subordinate through the feedback of others and through self-analysis. On the training day, we get to know ourselves more, we find out how we can do better and what needs to change in order to succeed. By becoming aware of problems, we can deal with them and that is how progress happens!
The key leadership issues you will learn more about during the training:
- Is mission or relationships more important to you? Are you more empathetic or do you leave bodies left and right for the sake of the goal?
- Are you a leader who listens to and considers your subordinates, or are you a lone wolf conquering the world?
- Are you able to work as part of a team, are you able to keep a team together?
- Do you and your team stick to the original plan even when the situation changes?
- Did everyone understand the plan in the same way? What is the common goal?
- How can you cope as a team in a crisis? Can you stick to the mission?
And there are more questions …
The FTX includes 5-6 missions, always followed by a feedback round to understand how and why someone behaved in a given situation. Experienced instructors follow every step of the way and provide questions and reflections to help you make sense of the experience and patterns of behaviour.
Although you may seem to be solving specific practical missions on the day, you will start discovering similar leadership situations in your everyday life after the training. The situation is different, but the solution is the same. The difference is that you will already know how a good leader would act in such a scenario. Because at the end of the day we are all leaders, of those around us and of ourselves.
You can come to FTX alone (or why not with friends) for an open training session or book it for a whole team of your company, regardless of the number of people. We can find a solution for any size of team! If you have any further questions, you can always contact us at info@combatready.ee
